UFO finished!

Believe it, or not. Yesterday night I finished my hexagon blanket!

  2. It's beautiful! Here in America we'd call that a "charm quilt". Charm quilts are made with no pattern in mind but lots of different fabrics. In the 19th century, women would go so far as to save up and borrow fabric from their friends, family and neighbors so that no two pieces of fabric in their quilt were the same. And then they'd duplicate just one square (or hexigon!), which would become a sort of game for anyone ill or bedridden, to try and find the one duplicate fabric.

  3. Vielen Dank ihr beiden :))))

@Robin: Thank you very much! And thank you for that explanation - I didn't know that. In fact some fabrics I got from friends and many of the fabrics are scraps from dresses, but some I simply bought at a "provence-shop" and quiltstores.
