Hier ist nun das komplette Outfit, das ich für "Apollonia Seckel" zusammengestellt habe, es orientiert sich an einer Abbildung aus Schwäbisch Hall und an verschiedenen Puppen die ich in "Mon plaisir" in Arnstadt sah. Das ist eine unglaubliche Sammlung von Puppenhäusern des frühen 18.Jh. die die dortige Fürstin-Wittwe zusammengetragen hat. Leider war Fotografieren dort strengstens Verboten und so habe ich nur Bilder in meinem Kopf und Notizen....
Feiernde Sieder
So here is the complete outifit that I have created for "Apollonia Seckel", I have keept to a picture from Schwäbisch Hall where our event is located and to several dolls I have seen in "Mon plaisir" in Arnstadt. That is a stunning collection of early 18th century doll houses that the prince's widdow has collected in that time. Unfortunatelly photographing was stricktly forbidden there so I have only pictures in my head and some notes.

Ich wollte schon immer mal eine Haube haben die etwas anders ist, als die die ich schon habe, die schöne Siederin auf dem Bildchen trägt ja eindeutig eine Schneppenhaube, doch ich hatte das Problem nicht zu wissen, wie sie von hinten aussieht, in Arnstadt sah ich dann Puppen mit eben solchen Hauben die eigentlich exakt wie eine elisabethanische Coiffe geschnitten sind, nur dass das "foreheadpiece" also die Schneppe am Stück angeschnitten war, diese Lösung erschien mir recht simpel, denn die Originalhaube eines ähnlichen Typs die ich in Strassbourg gesehen hatte war eher aufwändig mit vielen Pailletten und Trallala, ausserdem war diese Haube zu einer Art Haarreif zusammengeschrumpft und ich habe keine Ahnung, wie sie getragen wurde und ob da noch eine weiße Unterhaube dazugehört...

Since a long time I wanted to have a cap that is differnet from the others and the beautiful salteress on the picture deffinitely wears a "Schneppenhaube" (pointed cap), but I had the problem not to know how it looked from behind. At Arndstadt I saw several dolls with such caps and they were cut exactly like elizabethan coiffes expect that the foreheadpiece was cut in one with the coiffeband, this solution seemed quite simple to me, because another similar type of that cap that I saw in Strassbourg was rather complicated and decorated with a lot of pailletes etc, and this cap was shrinked to a kind of aliceband and I had no notion how it was worn, if I needed a matching white undercap...
